    leg numbness below the knee

for the past month I have had numbness below the knee on my right leg which makes it difficult to walk sometimes ... I lose my balance and and seem to have a involuntary limp

ok I am almost 65 but extremely health conscious and active walking is what I do the most and try to walk an hour a day

what I am wondering is ... could this be a side effect of a flu shot?
I had one in December and it is the second one in my life
this numbness came out of no where and I don't have pain but just discomfort and it seems like it is nerve damage but why???
I have been doing yoga and massage bought a foam roller and dyno band and doing this morning and night
I also briskly massage the leg
the doctor said it could be sciatica but every link I look at mentions pain and I have no pain just discomfort and this annoying limp
    thank you

Re: leg numbness below the knee

I have numbness on the front of the shin. Also the ankle and foot. X-ray showed the cause to be a bone spur in the lower spine pressing on the nerve. It's not bad enough to consider surgery. Mostly I manage the symptoms by avoiding activities that make it worse.
