When I get hurt I feel faint,

Hello, this is my first time here on your boards. I'll be brief. when I get hurt or a traumatic event takes place I began to feel faint. What helps me to get back to feeling normal is to drink a Dr. Pepper. I slam one down and almost instant I stop my tailspin and reverse course. Some have suggested its Low blood sugar, maybe, maybe not. Coke Cola works to but for my preference it is the Dr. Pepper I prefer. Sometimes there is none to be had but if anything with sugar lets say. Also Orange juice works well to. Hope this helps someone in need sometimes. Having to experience fainting is a very traumatic uncertainty to go through. Now by no means am I an Expert but I have lived 54 years to date and have been through many experiences. --> Dr. Pepper

Re: When I get hurt I feel faint,

Sounds more like vaso-vagal fainting. The vagus nerve can respond to trauma by causing a fainting spell. It's not uncommon. My husband gets it too. Cheers, Sera
