    Possible Autoimmune

    Hello,
I have been having issues with low grade fevers, muscle tremors, flushing/rash on cheeks and chest, weakness, extreme fatigue, joint/muscle stiffness and pain off and on for several months now. The pain and stiffness can get so bad that I can't sleep or I awake with a numb arm, etc. My hips and knees hurt almost constantly. I am not overweight. My primary sent me to a neurologist, he said he thought it was systemic and ordered a lot of labs and an MRI of brain and c-spine. Everything was normal except my ANA titer was 1:160 homogenous pattern. My c-spine showed advanced degenerative changes of the disc, facet, ligaments and uncovertebral hypertrophy. moderate stenosis of central and foraminal canals of c4-6. Active Bone marrow edema. Then 2 weeks later my primary doctor ordered an ANA reflux to titer at a different lab and it was negative. I am scheduled to go back to the neurologist but my primary doctor said if you want a consult to see a rheumatologist she would but I didn't need too. I have also seen a derm and he started me on a medication because my hair is thinning really bad. Ive seen A cardiologist because I had EKG changes and had to start a medicine to control my heart rhythm. I feel like I am falling apart with no answers. Do I need to see a Rheumatologist?

It doesn't hurt to get the input of a Rheumatologist. Go for it.
You also may want to see an Endocrinologist. Ask your doctor to 'humor' you.

When a GP has no idea what is wrong it makes sense to see specialists until you get answers.

You have several symptoms of a possible autoimmune disorder. You need to be checked out further looking at lupus and similar AI conditions. Fatigue, hair loss heart rhythm problems, rash, joint pain and stiffness, tremor are all symptoms tthat occur in lupus. A rheumatologist will run more specific tests to identify what is going on. I think this consult is more important than the neuro, and would do it first.
