Can anyone help with this?

I have a family member that has something that doctors here say they do not know what causes it or have never heard of it. As examples, he can be at work and the inside temperature will be 70 and he can go to the break room and the temperature will be 3 degrees less and this will cause him to get sick at his stomach and many times will have to go outside to throw up. Going from the house to outside does the same to him. He is in his mid 50's and has a son in his early 20's that has the same problem. When his son was in school I would drive him occasionally and when he came out he would have to tell me to wait because he was going to be sick. Sure enough, he would have to throw up before we could leave. Now this only happens from hot to cold so it's not a problem except for winter months. Can anyone offer any thoughts on what causes this and if so, is there something that would help keep it from happening? Someone suggested to post this in and Endocrinology forum.
Thank you!

Are they totally healthy except for that one symptom? Having a disorder with only one symptom seems strange to me. For example, thyroid issues often have multiple symptoms.

Have they tried adding warmer clothing before going into a colder area? What happens if they quickly repeat the process over and over? Do they keep throwing up over and over?
