    Unhappy Mold Issues-pregnant

I知 at my wits end- I知 22 weeks pregnant and have a 17 month old and I am worried about the horrible mold smell in the house that lingers and is arguably getting worse. About a month and a half ago my husband and I had to take action against a slow leak from our bathtub that seeped behind walls and into our closets (on both sides).

We replaced the carpet in both closets, hired a mold specialist to fog the whole house (which he promised would kill all living mold that exists throughout the house), and discontinued use in the bathroom altogether to eliminate more water damage until we are able to remodel.

Before the fogging, the mold specialist took an air quality sample which confirmed the spore counts were actually really bad. After the treatment they were below the benchmark for safe which we were relieved.

However, it痴 been nearly three weeks and the musty/dirty sock/mildew smell is driving me mad. We took a two week vacation to get away and when we came back the smell now fills every room and is unbearable to me since I have heightened sensitivity to smells being pregnant- but my husband can smell it too.

Since there is a smell I worry about the health repercussions of staying in the house still. How can I make my make my house a home again. When will this nightmare end?

Did you have the sheetrock and wood replaced? If not, you should. I am assuming the house was aired out professionally.

You must leave this house immediately. It will only get worse. Get to a fresh mold free house. Mold exposure can destroy your health and your baby's. You will not be able to take your belongings. They have mold on them. Burn everything. If you begin to suffer the symptoms of an exposure, they're are no doctors with a cure, only advice. There are no medications. Most people will only take your money.
