sore ear after sleeping??

Anyone ever heard of having a sore ear after sleeping on it all night long? If so, what causes that? Pillows aren't hard......

The same thing happens to me every once in awhile. It really hurts. Sometimes for hours after I get up. I always thought I bent my ear some how when I rolled over and then slept on it. That's the only reason I could figure out that it would hurt.

I too have the same problem and have realized that I actually do bend my ear over. It only happens on the right ear, not when I sleep on the left side. I have no explanation for why it happens but it sure does hurt!

I get it too. Not all the time, but once in a while (usually after a deep sleep) I wake up and my ear just hurts...

I'm thinking: We fall asleep, our ear is somewhat bent at an odd angle. It loses blood... and goes numb. When we wake up , the blood rushing to the ear makes it sore.

Re: sore ear after sleeping??

I used to get really sore ears when I would wear certain earrings to bed and slept on one side all night. I quit wearing earrings to bed, and now I have no problems!
