Doc 2mrw....what should I ask? Please help.

Hi everyone,

I'm seeing my GP tomorrow morning because I've had a lot of strange symptoms going on for the last 6-8 weeks. I really hate Doctors but I'm desperate and Mum will keep nagging me if I don't I'm going. :-)

Anyway, I was wondering if someone(s) could advise me on what to ask my GP or what blood tests to ask for.

This is whats been happening. Extreme tiredness, blurry vision like fog over eyes(usually at night), muscle aches, very poor circulation in feet and lower legs (from kneecap down) and very bad dizzy spells. I had a very bad dizzy spell yesterday which lasted 40 minutes. I felt all wobbly like my legs and arms had no strength in them and I was pretty sure I was going to faint. This has happened a few times and I've fainted twice in the last 9 days.

Another strange thing is my heart keeps fluttering. Not all the time but 2 or sometimes 3 times a day. This only started last week I think it was and I went to walk in centre and everything was fine. But when this happens my heart goes very fast. I dont suffer from anxiety or panic attacks of any kind and I'm doing nothing strenous when this happens apart from talking on the phone or having a conversation with someone. The dizzyness doesn't happen when I just stand up either. If it did then I wouldn't be worried but it happens any time....out of the blue.

This might be related to the above but Im not sure. Anyway I notice that sometimes I feel strange..not dizzy but very disorientated so I have something to eat and then I feel much better. I checked my blood sugar when this happens and its fine so its not caused by low blood sugar.

Sorry for the long post but I hope someone can help me. My GP seems deaf when I ask for blood tests but Im sure this is what I need. I feel just like I did when I had a very bad case of glandular fever over a year and half ago.

Thanks anyway.

Write all your symptoms down, when they happen and how often. This way you won't forget. With your list of symptoms,I'm sure your GP will do blood work without you asking.

Hi Nuff. Thanks for your reply hun. You was right. I got my blood test at last. GP said she thinks its Glandular Fever back again or I'm anemic and she's also checking my Thyroid and Glucose levels. I'll let you know the results but wont be in for about 10-14 days. Take ages in UK. Thanks again x
