Eyelid twitching for over a week?

My left, lower eyelid has been twitching on and off for over a week. I haven't changed medications, I'm getting enough sleep, everything else seems fine except for my eyelid twitching.

Has this happened to anyone else? What was the cause?

I have the same with my upper lids on both eyes. I try to rub them but nothing helps. I used to think it was from being tired, but I do not think that is the case all the time. It seems to be a sporadic and lasts a couple of weeks. If anybody has any help for this , please let us know. Sorry I can not help you.

Happens to me alot. I think it's like a twitch you get from anxiety as it always happens to me when I'm really stressed

Do you wear contact lenses by chance? I had an eye twitch for several months one time, I switched the brand of contact solution and it went away.Occasionally I've used that same brand of solution and the eye twitch comes back.
Otherwise, I get twitches during stress or no sleep.

My eyelid twitches every once in a while. I get it due to lack of sleep, anxiety, muscle spasms, etc. I never asked a doctor about it though, it didnt seem worthy of wasting 400$ for an appointment even if i have insurance LOL

caffeine causes eyelid twitching, it should go away soon

I get eyelid twitches quite often but thats because I got wacked in the ear and it jacked me up. But people get it for lots of different reasons; fatigued, stress and caffine are the common culprits but sometimes the reason why can't be identified.

I don't wear contacts and don't drink caffeine. A chiropractor friend told me it may be due to low magnesium.

I have an inner ear disorder and get twitching eyes as one of the symptoms of that, annoying isn't it??
Do you have any other symptoms?

No other symptoms. Just a twitching eyelid that's still twitching.
