    Bug bite question

Can any type of bug bite look like a mole at all? I had an itch and thought it was a bug bite, but, now it's really smoothe and it doesn't hurt or itch. I am wondering if that was really a mole that I scratched when it was itching. Also, can bugs/spiders pass on germs? Like mosquito bites?

Hi Katielyn. An attached tick may resemble a mole.

Ticks can transmit several diseases including Lyme disease, Babesiosis, two types of Ehrlichiosis (HME & HGE), Bartonella, and Mycoplasma.
