Unhappy I have a prolapse of the bowel, any one had an operation for this.

After my doctor examined my back passage,he said i have a prolapse of the bowel and a big pile, that would be too big for banding..I asked him does he think it will get worse, but he said, he did not think it would..After i move my bowels i have to wash out my rectum, using my finger while water is running on my bottom,if i dont do this every time, i get seepage from my anus, and makes my bottom itchy and chafed..Lately some times i have pain after i do this ,so it might be getting worse..I am thinking about seeing my doctor again and ask him to put me down on the waiting list, to have it all operated on..We dont have private health insurance so i could be waiting a long time..One way they can do the op is from the rear end..And the other way is to cut open your belly..They say the rear end is best for aged people.,but its not as successful as a belly op..I am 60 yrs old..From bess01.
