45 Year old male. Is the pain normal?

Yes, 45 year old male. I thought i was rather healthy. Then wen i looked back at the last four years i have relised a great deal has happened to my body. First the eye sight. Can't see anything up close anymore. This is very frustrating. The right eye seems to be effected the worst. Had bi-focals made which is a real pain in the neck. Yes, neck. Need to hold my head up in a weird way just to read my pc screen. Then, i realised that was getting more and more headaches. Unlick those from my youth, these are very severe and have included a migrane 6 per year. The headaches are about 3 times a month and last about 4 days each. My left leg started aching. anytime, sitting, walking anytime. Then i get these aches in my stomach, they just come and go. Think it must be an Ulcer, if that is not bad enough, my kidneys hurt a couple times a day. No i do NOT drink any form of alcohol. But, i do smoke about 12 to 20 a day. Stressed possibly, must be. I started my own business a couple of years ago and to attest that i am a sucker for punisment, i started a business for my son as well. Well i must be financially okay then? Nope, not at all, Had one car repoed in 2009, and they will be comming for the other one soon. Now, is the above Stress or just poor health. Too make matters worse i can't remember a lot of spelling and i find myself making many mistakes. Maybe that's just because Microsoft has spoiled me with a spell checker. Then the worse of all. I find that next year does not mean anything to me anymore, I feel like i might not be here to see it. I think a great deal about life policies, funeral plans etc... And really worry that i might not have done enough for my wife should i pass one. So......Is this all noemal?

sounds like you're in the grips of a mid-life crisis.....
the eyesight going is happens about that age. Bi-focals are not suppossed to make you twist your neck around to see properly. I was terrified to get bi-focals because I heard horror stories, but mine must be made right because I can see out of them without looking over them, taking them off or twisting my head around. Maybe they didn't make yours right. It takes skill, and they have to measure correctly. I'd get my eyes checked if I were you and possibly new glasses. That could be what's causing the headaches.

I think it is too early for you to think about your funeral, but your life seems to be quite a mess, and your health is not better. I believe that you need to "reset" your life, quit smoking, reduce drinking, visit your doctor regularly, stop expanding into business ventures, take you wife to a 2-week vacation in a Caribbean Island, and try to see life
outside bad habits and thoughts of doom. If there is a will, there is a way, and that is what you need now!

LOL....Don't sweat it my friend, roll with it. I will turn 53 on Feb. 15th. I thought my life was over when the first enrollment offer came from AARP, then Bojangles started giving me senior discount without me asking for it. You have some health problems, we all have. I have had two back surgeries, and sometimes, I look like the tin man from The wizard of Oz coming down the hallway in the morning, and the last thing I want to do is to go crawl in a dumptruck, but such is my lot in life. But, every morning I wake up beside the best friend I have in this world. She turned 49 this week, and we will walk down that road of middle and old age hand in hand. There in lies the secret to life, who you live it with. Yes, problems will come, but every storm will pass.
