    Chest X-ray

Would a regular chest x-ray show a problem with the stomach? I have lost my appetite and fear its something seriously wrong with my stomach.

    Re: Chest X-ray

I would see a doctor. I don't know how much a chest xray will help but I know the blood test can find out if you have certain bacterias in your stomach. I had the same problem and when I ate it occasionally burned. My doctor did a blood test and I tested positive for H. pylori, which was causing ulcers. Sorry I can't help on the chest xray.

    Re: Chest X-ray

That would depend on what the problem is. Not all problems of the stomach show up on plain film x-rays, while some others do. So the best answer is yes and no. Sometimes chest x-rays are taken for stomach complaints. It will depend on what your doctor is checking for. However, if you have a problem with your stomach then it's likely that you'll have other tests run rather than a just a chest x-ray.

Christine is right, see your doctor.
