    Armpit temperature warmer than oral?

I've been sick recently (I think with a flu or some other sort of winter bug). One thing I've had is an on-and-off low grade fever.

In the past couple of days, though, instead of my armpit temperature being .5-1 degree (F) below my oral temperature, my armpit temperature is either the same as my oral or significantly above my oral!

I've taken care to test this out various times throughout the day and I have made sure *not* to take my oral temperature after eating, drinking, or being outside in the cold.

Has anyone experienced this? Or know if it is an issue?

    Thanks
