Unhappy Really bad neck pain when coughing

Ok so I had the flu 2 weeks ago and now have a chest infection, I am coughing so much that when I do it hurts the right side of my neck just where my head attaches to it.. But only on that side, it's sooo painful. But when I take paracetamol it helps it and it kind of goes for a while then comes back, it doesn't hurt unless I cough, any idea what it could be and why it's not hurting on my left side also? Thanks
