unexplained bruise with a lump in the middle on daughters arm

My daughter who is 17 complained of pain on her arm and was taking ibuprofen for it. then she got a 3 inch unexplained bruise on her arm in the same spot. she didn't hit it or damage it that she can think of. the bruise is about 3 inches and has a white lump in the middle. the lump is not bruised and is her regular skin color? she has had it a little over a week. Is has turned a little brownish rather then the purple. she is otherwise very healthy and active. very worried and not sure what it could be. I appreciate any thoughts or advice you can give me. wondering if there is a condition that would cause this to happen for no reason? I have attached a link to a picture of her arm. Thank you

While I have no explanation for the pain, bruising, or the lump, I would have her checked out at the doctor. The sudden appearance and the changes in the area sound very suspicious, and a doctor is the only one who could make a solid diagnosis, and provide proper treatment.

Best of luck to you both.
