Question Experiences of unintended weight loss of a TB & Diabetes patient

Wish to share with others things which may address our health issues and make life better. To begin with , let me share my experiences after being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and TB in March 2012 and " trauma " of unintended weight loss , possibly side effects of loads of anti-biotics. I started my treatment in consultations with doctors of a fairly good private hospital in Mumbai.Initially I started taking insulin Actrapid 4-4-4 and Lantus 6 units at 11pm. Later I was advised to switch over to Glycomet (1 mg). My TB culture report was negative in October 2012. I , however , lost about 10 KG weight from July after I stopped taking insulin and started Glycomet tablet. I was advised to continue with medicines RIMACTAZID (600/300) or R -Cinex 600 , LEVOFLOX (750) , Benadon 1/2 (40 mg) after breakfast and Combutol ( 1 gm) , PZA (1000 mg) , PZA (500mg) and LEVOFLOX (250) after diner. From June I was also asked to take Kenamycin (750 mg) injection on alternate day Injection were stopped after TB culture final report of Sputum came NEGATIVE in October. My regular doctors apparently could not find reasons for weight loss. My blood sugar was under fair control ( HbA1C 5.7 (Dec) and 6.0 (Sept), X- ray reports showed improvement .CT Scan Report of Chest Plain & Contrast in December said “ACTIVE ON CHRONIC PULMONARY KOCHS INFECTION”. This raised doubt over course of my treatment and a question emerged if my TB had become multi -drug resistant. Finally , I went to a very senior chest specialist who checked my lungs through bronchoscopy and sent samples from lungs taken out in that process to the lab. The senior doctor stopped all other medicines for TB treatment except R -Cinex (450) and Combutol (800)and asked to start Alpex-plus to overcome depression. Meanwhile , Cytology report has ruled out malignant growth. Fungal culture report and 3-week TB culture report/s are negative. I am waiting for TB culture final report. Regular morning walk for last about a month has further improved my blood sugar level and possibly the lung condition also. My weight , however , has not increased , though it has not decreased also after I re-started insulin about two months ago. My question is what else to do to gain some weight. Shall appreciate if expert/s can guide me .
