On and off fever for 3 weeks?

Hi, I'm a 17 year old female. I've been sick for almost three weeks now. I've had on and off low grade fevers (between 99.0-100.5) a few times a week. I suddenly had a severe sore throat and went to the doctor with "flu like symptoms". I got tested for strep and the flu and had neither. I still felt horrible after a week with a sore throat, headache and extreme fatigue so i went back for a mono test. Turns out I already had mono awhile ago, they don't know when but I had the antibodies for it. Just as I think I am feeling better I get another low grade fever, headache and extreme fatigue, where I can barely get off the couch or eat. I read somewhere that mono can relapse, but my doctor said my mono test was negative. He thinks I could be depressed but that doesn't explain the fevers. Any idea on what this could be? Thanks!
