Rotator Cuff Surgery set for May 20

I have a 70% thickness tear of my RC and have minimal pain, medium range
of motion and strength in my arm, except when golfing (my passion). I was told I needed surgery but opted for 1 month of PT which I thought really helped. My surgeon decided not to do surgery and said "you should just
forget about golf". Went for a 2nd opinion and this surgeon understood
I wanted to golf and I was told to have the surgery.
I hope I made the right decision. I know this sounds trivial with
so many of you in pain. Do you think it is worth it? Has anyone
returned to their sport after having RC surgery?
