If you mean make your hair feel thicker, yes, it does...at least to me and my friends.
THere's another called Bumble and Bumble or something like that which is supposed to be quite good but I think it's pretty expensive.

    Hi,
I use to use Pantene daily ....When i went my hair dressers we got on the subject of different shampoo's and conditioners....She told me that Pantene is one of the worse shampoo or conditioner to use on your hair because it leaves a wax build up....So i stopped...I now use only kenra, i love it would never change, my hair feels so healthy...

My stylist had the same negative opinion about Pantene due to buildup. I use Aveda products and absolutely love 'em.

    Pantene, and many other store bought shampoos DO leave a waxy build up. Hence the "thick/shiney" claims. {removed} cannot stress enough the use of quality product. Most stylists really don't "just want to sell" for the commission, it's for you and the health of your hair, {removed}

Pantene has never done anything good for my hair. I can't stand the stuff! All it did for me was dry my hair out and leave it feeling like straw.

    Hey!
    Well..

My hair is super thick..and very frizzy!
I use Pantene pro-V with Amino...
    it's for dry damaged hair..
and it doesn't work at all..
it's true about the build up!
nope.. i wouldn't recomend that product to anyone!
im in teh look out too, for a new product to use on my ugly, frizzy, dry, thick hair!

Pantene cleans my hair but it sure drys it out. As far as it leaving anything behind, no idea.

hmmm i wonder why pantene works for some and doesn't work for others. My friend used to use is and she said she loved it. But I told her it burns her hair, and stopped. Hmmm..Interesting
Good luck for those with frizzy hair, like me!

    Hi,

I used to always use Patene, but then i noticed it gave me a lot of wax build up. So, i switched to Paul Mitchell and it's great. I also heard it's good to switch shampoo every so often so you don't get build up.
