Recommended Medication for Migraine Associated Vertigo?

I do not have MAV exactly; instead I have recently been diagnosed with similarly presenting otic migraines, which primarily affect the auditory portion of my inner ear and not the vestibular portion. Thus, vasospasms occur in my inner ear which cause temporary or permanent hearing loss, although I can experience vertigo and a number of other migraine symptoms.

For the past month I have been on nortriptyline to try to control these migraines. I don't know the dosage exactly, but I have been taking 3 pills for the past 10 ish days. Unfortunately, the medication has not done a damned thing to stop my migraines and to protect me from numerous migraine triggers. Thus I am still losing my hearing and experiencing headache symptoms daily.

Has anyone here ever had success with a different medication for treating MAV? I would sure love to know about it! Preferably one that works to control vasospasms, because I am confident that vasospasms are responsible for my migraines.
