Heachached Everyday Since last July Help?
Since last July I have been getting headaches everyday. They usually occur on my right side of the head towards the back. I also get pain in the forehead and above my eye. For a while I was thinking it was just a tension headache since I do have a lot of stress in my life being in college and all. However, the headaches are lasting much longer than they should have and I am having other bizarre symtoms. Lately, I have been getting these weird intense pulses of pain on the right side of my head that last only a few seconds followed by numbess on my right cheek. Also, my left pinkie finger has gone slightly numb. These headaches all started in July with me needing to crack my neck several times a day. Since then I have stopped but the headaches continue. I have gone to a chiropractor and he said that my first vertabrae was messed up. He then put the vertabrae back in place but I still have the pain. Please help, I dont know what I should do. I am even more concerned now since I found out my one grandmother died from brain cancer.

You need to see a family dr & he will maybe do some tests. what meds have you tried? there are alot available...imitrex...zomig...relpax, even certain anti-depresants can help.

do certain foods trigger the headaches?

stress is also a big migraine trigger.

good luck.

Re: Heachached Everyday Since last July Help?
thank you sonic for your reply. I did see a family dr. several months ago a few weeks after I began to get them. He said I shouldnt be concerned. I guess what I really want to know is whether the symptoms I have could be a sign of a brain tumor, anurism, cancer, or anything else that could kill me.

Re: Heachached Everyday Since last July Help?
Im sure 9 times out of 10 it is not serious. But nobody should have to live like this. :(

The only way i was diagnoised was b/c i "Insisted" i be refered to a specialist..i saw many neurologists & ENT drs. i had an MRI done to rule out anurism (like you said)

my brother died of a brain anurism.

I had at least 4 hearing & balance tests as well, b/c i also have some hearing loss. after 11 yrs i was finally diagnoised with MAV.
so dont expect a quick answer to your migraines. it is such a vague symptom, its really hard to pin-point the problem with migraine sufferers.

If you find your dr does not seem to be doing much to help you, then I would EXAGERATE your symptoms.
Try not to stress about it as stress can make the migraines worse.
