    Uninsured and pre-existing condition

I need help shopping for an insurance plan. I have diabetes (which is a pre-existing condition) and I havenít been insured for 12 years. Lately I have been worried if something serious happens to me. I want to find a plan that covers critical illnesses like heart disease and will cover angioplasty. Iíve been looking up people paying out of pocket and it seems to put them under bankruptcy. I would not like that to happen to me if I can.

I would start with insurance companies that your doctors and hospitals in your area will accept. And there is also the federal Affordable Care Act that you could look at. All should explain what they cover. Also research which companies have the most clients in your state.

    Re: Uninsured and pre-existing condition

Vividangel, I suffered from Insulin Resistance and Diabetes 2 for many years. I've been able to lower my blood sugar and my blood pressure down to very healthy levels without medications, through a very healthy diet of six, low calorie, low carb, high fiber meals per day. The most powerful "medications" we can take are diet and exercise.

Take care, best of health, Bob
