food question

food question

i am trying to lose weight, i am currently eating only salads, eggs, and drinking water and plain cappuccinos. is this ok, or should i lose the cappuccinos, and if so, is it ok to replace the cappuccinos with a natural low fat granola cereal??

Only salads and eggs? that seems a very unbalanced diet to me. you need grains, fruit, root vegetables, nuts and lean meat. fair enough, you want to lose weight, but eating a varied diet will not make you gain weight if you portion correctly and eat in moderation only. losing weight is one thing, but possibly putting your health at risk by eating such a narrow range of foods isnt worth it.
try replacing the cappucino with herbal teas, might not taste as nice lol but they're v.good for you!

Ding's right. You need to eat balance meals. I would also add excerise. Even walking would help. Do what you can and add on weekly. Don't diet, change the way you eat. You need the carbs, fat and protien for body functions. Best of health!

I agree you need more variety, but don't agree that you need some of the starchy foods mentioned. Grains, in particular, slow many people's weight loss, and do not provide any nutrients that cannot be obtained elsewhere (and for many fewer calories!). Hopefully the salads have a variety of vegetables. Alternating the eggs with fish, poultry and meats would be better.

Are you eating salad three times a day? How long are you going to be able to sustain that? Are you using an olive oil dressing?

I don't quite understand how granola would substitute for cappucinos? How do you see one as compensating for the other?

Try decaf cappucino with'll get some calcium from the skim but fewer added's only 1-2 points on WW and is a nice, filling treat!
