| How can I drink more water?
I hate plain water, but I know that I need to drink more in order to be healthy. Beside lemon, how can I jazz up the water? What do some of you all do to help with the flavor of water? thanks

I drink between 140-160 oz of water a day. Water is the only thing I drink ever besides milk. I never get tried of it and I never don't want to drink it. You are conditioned to drinking other things so naturally something that doesn't have flavor, sugar,or carbination doesn't seem as good. Remind yourself everytime you drink it how good it is for you. After a while it will become a habit and you won't even think about it.

There are sugar free powdered mixes you can add to 16oz bottles of water now. I know Crystal LIght has them as well as WalMart brands. They make drinking water sooooo much easier. Flavors such as lemonade, raspberry ice, peach iced tea, orange drink.

There are plenty of flavored waters. I enjoy Propel Fitness Water by Gatorade. My favorite is just natural H2O though. But yes, pleeenty of options for you.

What do some of you all do to help with the flavor of water? thanks | Here's a different approach for motivation to drink "plain" water--After bladder repair surgery, I spent 35 days on a catheter and my GNY told me to drink a lot of water because drinking water keeps your urine ph level which prevents kidney and bladder infections. He said just plain water, no flavorings or artificial sweeteners. Ever since he told me that, I have been drinking 8 - 10 glasses of "plain" water. And I never drank water before that, only sweetened iced tea.

You could put water in the blender with strawberries or blueberries or raspberries or bananas. Pick whatever fruit you like or use all of them or just a couple. Then throw some ice in it and and blend some more until smooth it'll be like a smoothie with lots of fruit and water. Super healthy and flavorful.

Try bottled Seltzer Water, either flavored (it is subtle) or plain...the fizz makes it seem like a soft drink but it has no sugar, no calories, no sodium..just pure H2O. All I drink...

Yeah that works too. I like water but sometimes I am not in the mood to drink some but I will just have some by me all of the time and chug some down just because I know I should. Just pretend that you like it.

a good way to get more water in your diet without noticing is with broth type soups and watery fruits like grapes and watermellons....plus your getting other nutrients with it.
