stapedectomy: what kind of material was used to replace my stapes?

Hi my name is Sal Lorio recently diagnosed with Liposarcoma cancer, my Oncologist wants me to have an MIR. PROBLEM: Back in February of 1965 I had a Stapedectomy and I don't know what kind of material was used to replace my stapes. The surgeon that performed the procedure has died many years ago and the hospital where it was performed records do not go back that far.

Is there a way I can find out what material was used? I can not have the MIR until I solve this problem. I googled and found that there were different materials during that period of time including teflon, plastic etc. Can anyone help me?
