    Otosclerosis

I am 26 year old female and was diagnosed with otosclerosis two years back. I was told that I suffer from moderate conductive hearing loss in both ears and was put on sodium fluoride tablets. I am currently having mild hearing loss. Doctors have advised that after I am done with pregnancy I can consider surgery if it goes bad but asked me to discontinue with the tablets. Has anyone had the surgery before pregnancy and does pregnancy affect the hearing later if surgery has been done before? Also I am very scared about the minimal risk of going completely deaf in the operated ear side effect. How did you deal with this fear. Any words of motivation and sharing your experiences would be great.
