Tinnitus changes when i move?

Somehow when i look left or right my tinnitus changes, looking to the left makes it worse. Also when i look up it gets worse, when i move my jaws left to right it's verrrryy loud or when i clench my teeth. Also when i yawn i can hear it get louder.

Could the tinnitus be coming from somewhere else?

Re: Tinnitus changes when i move?

Hi Sherry,

My tinnitus suddenly got worse about three weeks ago. I'm a long time teeth clencher and this may be causing a form of TMJ where in addition to the ringing I experience ear fullness, a stiff neck and shoulders, a limited ability to open my mouth...but thankfully no jaw pain. I visited a TMJ specialist last week who confirmed this very likely was causing the T. He's preparing a splint for my lower jaw now and there are other posts on other boards that speak to the efficacy of this approach.

Good luck!
