Post-stapedectomy ear protection

Anyone who has undergone a stapedectomy remembers all the warnings about not getting water in your ear when you shower or wash your hair. You have to put a cotton ball with vaseline on it in your ear, but even that doesn't work too well, especially if you don't have a helper with you. When I told my hair stylist about this, she told me that a company makes what she called "ear shower caps," which are just little clear plastic protectors with elastic around them, which hair salons use to keep ears clean during coloring. You can find them on Amazon or a beauty supply stores. Just look for "ear protectors".

Hopefully, this is not a prohibited post that will get taken down.
