    Pullsatile Tinnitus

3 long months of hearing my heart beat in my left ear has left me devastated.
It's so loud my relatives can hear the noise if they place their ear next to my left ear. I'm a female, 57 years old, taking no medications, and in otherwise good health: This has consumed my entire life.

I've had the following tests with no positive results:
week of diagnosis, I had shoulder blade muscle spasms/ ER trip- with no explanation.
    ENT evaluation- not the cause
    Coratid Artery Doplar- not cause
    Heart Echo/Stress Test- not cause
Root Canal w/ Crown - not the cause
Opthamologist Eye exam/ dilation- not the cause
Leg Doplar- not Deep Vein Thrombosis
Brain MRI w Contrast- Not an aneurism!
Thyroid blood testsing- not the cause
    Reg blood work- No problem

    Re: Pullsatile Tinnitus

Hi--I certainly feel your pain. I have had the same problem for 2-3 months now. When it first started, the nights were unbearable. I just could not sleep at all. I have my first appt with an ENT on March 10th. Sometimes I hear my heart beat distinctly and then at other times it is just a kinda surf sound. When something goes wrong with my health, I can be very negative and always think the worse, but all of the posts I have read here seem positive. I have read that stress can be a factor and I certainly have that. I believe mine started right after my 13 yo precious dog died. Hope you will soon have better days.
