12 year old holter monitor results.
My daughter is 12 years old. She has a history of WPW. She had an ablation when she was 4. No problems until about a month ago. She started having tachycardia on exertion. I counted it at 182 bpm. We went to our PCP because her Electrophysiologist is 4 hours away. He ordered a 24 hour holter monitor. The results were "ok" although he put her on a beta blocker. I didn't feel comfortable about his diagnosis especially since no 12 lead EKG was done and the physician that read it was an internal medicine doctor, not even cardiologist. So I call the EP the next morning. He ordered an event monitor for 30 days, and scheduled her for the 22nd of September, and since this will be monitored by him and staff 24/7 if something came up and she needed to be seen sooner he would call us. I faxed the report and holter monitor tracings to his office on Friday. It was late because I had to go pick them up, and they won't reopen until Tuesday. Could SOMEONE HELP explain the results. Thank you
