    Amitriptyline and AF

    I had have AF and have been prescribed Amitriptyline for pain and anxiety, just wondering the medicine will induce my af ? thanks in advance

    Are you meaning atrial fibrillation or atrial flutters?

    By cardiologist or your GP? And are you asking because you're having symptoms?
    Do a search on it specifically regarding AF.

    nice , we are living in same city. eventually I call my family Dr, she said don't take it.

    Good you called your GP.

    What type of pain are you having and what have you tried?
    For sleep, I use Trazadone.

    Celebrex may be helpful for your pain. Seems OK for AF.

    I have rectum pressure and pain caused by protatitis, seems like elavil help a lot, but it might screw up my heat system, so I stopped now.

    Oh...I misunderstood. That's hugely frustrating since it was working. If your urologist prescribed it, maybe there are alternatives he can offer?
    Research dosages and see if a lower one is safer for AF.
