Really Just curious if this is a cause of heart related chest pain.

Assuming it's cardiac chest pain we're talking about, the simple answer is no. Cardiac chest pain is normally associated with low blood flow (ischemia) in the heart...it is often described by patients as a crushing or pressure sensation. Low blood flow CAN be associated with a "large heart", but more often than not, there is no enlargening.

Sometimes it can be. I know thats a bit of an ambiguous answer, but just as in cases of silent ischemia (no angina felt), there are cases where no pain is felt from an enlarged heart. My brother had an englarged heart from untreated hypertension and he felt no symptomatic pain. The condition can be caused by many different factors such as: hypertension, cardiomyopathy, thyroid problems, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, heart attack, ischemia, heart valve problems....

    heartfreak,

Pain isn't a very common symptom but it can be present, especially if the enlargement was caused by CHD or myocarditis both relatively common causes of "enlargement."

Enlargement is usually just a symptom of some other disease process (most commonly cardiomyopathy) rather than a disease itself. And then you can often even go one step further back from the myopathy to the underlying cause (often viral, sometimes poisons, often auto-immune or the cause is never discovered.) Usually myopathic enlargement is painless (but even there, there's a spectrum.)
