i was diagonsed with mitral valve prolapse about 10 yrs ago and recently ive been getting alot of heart fluttering and pvc's. my question is how do u tell the differenc between atrial fibrillation or weather its skipped beats or pvc's im getting?

2nd question is i have been getting alot of palpations espeically after i eat a average size meal, thats lasts for about 2-3 hrs, would could be triggering that? i have also been on prediszone for about a week bc of rash on my leg i wonder if the palps could be from this medicine. any help would be great, thanks

Re: mvp

if you are having frequency in PVC'S you need to have an EKG done and an echo to see if your MVP is worsening and you need an antiarrythmic or beta blocker for those PVCs...just a suggestion. I would def. follow up with a cardiologist. If you eat a lot of sugar or caffeine, that triggers PVC's also.
