Question Can someone give me some insight primarily for piece of mind???

For the last day or two, I have been experiencing a pain in the middle of my back kinda right between my shoulder blades kinda under my ribs, and also it feels like it goes through into the front sometimes under the breast bone... I never have any shortness of breath, or dizziness, or fainting, no elevated heartrate.... the pain kinda is a pain like if you have really bad gas buildup under your ribs.... I get intermmitent pain in my left arm, but it knda moves around, never is a shooting pain from my chest to my arm.... I had a EKG back in June of last year that the doctor said looked great.... had this done as part of pre surgical testing before having lower back surgery.... my blood pressure never runs high, usually 117/78 ....I have been under alot of stress lately with having lower back problems, not being able to work due to nerve damage in my lower back and legs.... Money issues in my household.... et etc.....experienced my first panic attack about a month ago....and seriously thought I was having a heart attack and going to die on the spot..... and have suffered from moderate depression for over the last year due to all the issues with my back and such.... had breast reduction surgery back in March, docs said that my heart rate and all looked fine during the surgery.... I have lost nearly 40 lbs since March after the reduction surgery and such......this feeling I get in my arm or back and such feels like I said like a aching pain, not over strong or unbearable, just concerning, and sometimes like a burning feeling, but it moves around....was happening yesterday... but after I slept lastnight it went away....I slightly have it this pain in my back under the ribs but a slight pinching kinda pain under my breast bone, and the pain in my left arm that moves around, and even has been comming and going this morning...just for info purposes...I am also on 60 mg of Methadone a day... and Zanaflex Muscle relaxers. for the lower back pain and sciatica and nerve damage.... supposed to be taking Zoloft for the depression, but I don't take it.... Also I do not smoke, dont drink, and I like to think that I eat pretty healthy....I don't do much exercise because of the inability to be physical because of the nerve damage in my lower back and legs...

My main question is...... Does this sound like it could be heart related?

Anyone with input I would greatly appreciate it...

Thanks So Much!

The symptoms you describe certainly could be anxiety/stress related. Given your other health issues, why not check it out with your dr. to see if it warrants further investigation. Even if only for your peace of mind.

Re: Can someone give me some insight primarily for piece of mind???

Thanks for your replies,

I actually had another anxiety/Panic attack last night, that pain in my back had stopped I hadn't had any pain there yesterday, and the slight pain in my chest around my breast bone had slacked off to almost nothing, it just came and went yesterday.... but lastnight about 11:30pm I had a Anxiety/Panic attack, and I knew that was what it was, because I have had them several times before.... so I did what I usually do, and it passed about as fast as it started, and I had decided to go see the doctor this morning, but when I woke up, the pain in my chest, back , and arms is all gone, except a small twinge from time to I think it is probably only the anxiety causing it.... I also started my Zoloft again this morning... so Im gonna keep taking that and see if this helps... I should have been taking it all along...Also I have a couple bulging discs in my neck, so my doctors have told me that the pain in my arm can also be comming from that... but if it keeps up I will definately go get it checked out, if nothing else atleast for piece of mind..... but as I said, I am feeling so much better today... a world of difference, I think it had been the Anxiety/Panic attack building up... and then when I had it lastnight, its almost like a relief afterwards, if that makes sense...Anyway, thanks again for the responses...

Take Care
