Pericarditis and more...
Ok, so now I have pericarditis and the lower left torso pain symptoms still go undetected. Lipase levels went back to just a tad higher than normal.
So far I've had
1. Neg lower torso CT scan
2. Neg colonoscopy
3. Neg upper endoscopy
4. Neg upper GI

They say that they don't know the cause of the pericarditis. I am on ibuprophin and finally slept better last night. I had chills and fever the last week or so and night sweats.

I am very healthy (considering) and run over 50 miles per week. I am worried about the pericarditis hampering my running. Anyone else have this? How long till it goes away? What else causes it (lupus, cancer, TB) and would they have found it by now? I have had several blood tests and most all are ok (lipase was high but now it is not). I have had the mild pain in my lower abdomen for about four months. It is driving me crazy. I have go to cardiologist this week for stress test. I never thought that something could be wrong with my heart. This whole saga has been maddening. Any suggestions, words of wisdom or insight from some of you would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
