Unhappy Beta blockers no longer appear to be working...

Hello everyone, for some odd reason my high heart rates have returned and the metoprolol that I take appears to no longer be helping. Is this quite common with beta blockers in the sence that the patient's condition eventually over rides the medicine? Does this mean the only way I'll get my heart rate to go back down is to take a larger dose? If that's the case since I've only been on them for about three months by this time next year I'll have to be on 300mg or 400mg in order to keep my heart rate down. Are there any other natural ways to control high heart rates?

Re: Beta blockers no longer appear to be working...

You don't state your bpm. I presume it is over 100.
I have been on BB and it keeps my pulse at 62, but now and again a rogue pulse would intervene and double my pulse. The BB does not help then for this rogue pulse. It stays high.
The only way to stop it if it does not revert itself is to do a cardio version. Like paddles or a minor OP to cut off this rogue pulse.

Get an ablation and no more drugs, no more ER's and no more worries. And don't let anyone freak you out about doing it. I did it and I am cured! I wish I would have done it sooner. Drugs are not a cure and they can stop working and they can even kill you.
