Having brief episodes where muscles seem to 'disconnect' so I flop. Heart-related ?

This happens several times a day. Feel really ill when it happens but just for those few seconds, & a tingling runs down both arms. Feels like all energy has just switched off, I go light-headed but dont faint & cant feeling anything odd in my heart at the time when these episodes happen. Rest of the time I'm very tired, somewhat light-headed and somewhat dizzy. Been happening like this for a couple of weeks. Could this be my heart causing the problem, most of my family have or have had heart problems.
Many thanks for any comments, Paul
