    Hiatus hernia surgery

I’ve had hiatus hernia surgery now 2 months post op.

I am still having trouble with food getting stuck, also I have really bad bloating and a lot of wind after I eat which is driving me crazy as it can be very painful at times.

I also feel that I have an air pocket at the bottom of my essopogus as even eating yougarts I have the feeling I need to burp.

I wonder if this is the normal experience.

    Dear Satuan,

Be sure to call your doctor's office and let them know what you are experiencing, and ask for an appointment.

If they cannot see you right away, can you go to Urgent Care or a clinic and tell them that you had surgery and are having trouble with choking because of food getting stuck in your throat?

Have you seen your GI doctor or whoever dx the hernia? If it was not a GI doctor, please make an appointment with one to have yourself checked out. They may need to do an endoscopy to make sure that there is nothing else going on down there...

Dont ignore this, you really want to get checked out.
