sciatica from herniated disc and continual pain in foot and ankle

I suffered a herniated disc about two months ago. The herniation caused sciatica from my hip to my toes. Through chiropratic care three times a week, the pain has improved, except for my ankle and foot. I can barely walk and any pressure on the top of my foot( including the bed covers) is agonizing. I can only sleep 2 hours at a time. I am frustrated and exhausted. The herniation itself is greatly improved, but the lingering after effects have me wondering if I have to live with this the rest of my life. I will be going to a new orthopedic doctor in two weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? This problem has greatly affected my job and my life in general. I just want my life back.

search my previous communications. I owned an acupuncture clinic for
7 years and found the one thing that worked almost 100% of the
time for sciatica was acupuncture. I used to think that it worked
because the patients believed in it but when I took my dog in with
terrible hip displasure whereas he would limp in and run out after 30 minutes
having needles in him, I changed my view on it. All it took was an every
year maintenance program, once a year and the dog was in Canine
heaven. the woondog
