do i have herpes all over my body? please help
Hi, I'm worried I may have herpes although I don't have any sores. And I worried I have spread it all around my body.
I had a new boyfriend and we had unprotected sex. First I had trouble peeing but I noticed that when I drank a lot of water it went away so I assumed it was a UTI.
Then after a week I got a burning and tingle sensation on my vagina. However it was not near the vaginal opening it was more in the area when you have pubic hair and above the clitoral hood. I thought this might be sunburn as I had been sunbathing and saw a heat rash on my leg. The tingling/itchy sensation lasted a couple days but was worse at night. But the thing that hurt the most was actually my clitoris. It was swollen and I also had a watery discharge. I also had a bad flu which seemed to last about three weeks.
During that time I saw one tiny pin-head spot which did not blister. However because I wax down there I get those from time to time so I didn't know if this was herpes.
I have seen a private doctor and gone to a GUM clinic. Neither thought I had herpes, actually they both thought I was a bit paranoid. However, I still feel concerned as I also had two lymph nodes that were also swollen in the vaginal area and soreness around the clitoris. I have been checking my vagina every day and when I pulled back the clitoral hood I did see what could be a spot with a white head. Could this be an abcess? Can you get herpes under there?
I have never seen the guy I was with, with a cold sore but he did say that he gets mouth ulcers all the time! Could he have passed herpes to me through going down on me?
Also after that scenario I then started getting itchy hands and feet and my hands and feet became very sensitive to the cold and would go purple at the tips! I broke out in hives. I took anti-histamine to calm the itching but OTC stuff only took the edge off. It still itched. Could this be herpetic whitlow? There were no blisters but slightly raised area on my fingertips . I read somewhere that itchy hands and feet could be an allergic reaction to herpes.
After the itchy feet and hands calmed down. I then noticed swelling around my eye and then a lump under my eyelid. Could this be ocular herpes! There were no spots or blisters though. I went to an opticians and he said that my eyes are just sore from over wearing contact lenses and gave me eyedrops which are helping.
I don't know what to think at this point. I've read that herpes is very painful but I have not experienced this. It's been a month now since I returned from holiday and I was seeing him for six weeks having unprotected sex. Am I going mad or should I be worried?
I don't want to have herpes but I refuse to pass this onto anyone else if I do which is why I'm trying to find out if I could have it. I've decided not to date until I know either way.
