Increase in herpes outbreaks
 

Hi. I am a 45 year old female with hsv2. I have had it for 25 years and it's been always well controlled. I have been on and off antivirals all this time. All the sudden antivirals are not working. I went to an infectious disease doctor who told me all was fine and continue on antivirals. Well I am having burning almost daily but not a full outbreak. Needless to say I'm afraid to have Sex with my non h boyfriend I guess I'm asking if anyone else has had this increase with age and if you have managed to control it and how.

I have 5 years with H it was not a problem until I had a really difficult emotional situation and a lot of stress.

So please pay atention to what is different in your life now. Are you under stress? Are your immuno system strong?

Many factors could be affecting you! Take a moment to analyze this.

Hi. Thank you for responding. I just got a physical and had my immoglobins tested and all was normal. For the last 2 months I have no outbreaks but burning daily. My stress is thru the roof and I can't control it. My only stress is herpes. I feel that I will never be normal and this burning is forever.

I am sorry, I know how you feel, I can relate to you because we are in the same situation. The problem is the stress! You have to find the way to manage it. Take the antivirals and supplements to see if something change. I am taking L-lysine as well and doing so I feel a bit better because in my mind I have the idea that I am fighting the H.lol...We have a virus.but it is all about our mind right now.
