Should I be worried?

I was on vacation in Europe and when I was using the bathroom I noticed my vagina swiped toilet seat. When I got back I have been having some issues with vagina. Recurrent yeast/BV infection. Discomfort, itching, burning, dryness. Is it possible that I contracted herpes from this? I was tested via IGG blood work and I was negative in July. Should I be concerned and should I bother getting retested???

Talking Re: Should I be worried?

Dear Wand,

Worrying never helps any thing and it just makes one more stressed. Don't let yourself go there. A negative test means negative, not maybe. No worries! I would take some overthecounter B 100 vitamins to help the body deal with the stress.

Even if you had contracted herpes, it shows up as an extremely painful lesion, NOT 'recurrent yeast/BV infection, discomfort, itching, general burning, dryness'.

You can buy toilet seat covers where travel supplies are sold. It's a good idea to always keep those with you for public toilets.

I hope you feel way better soon!
