    genital herpes

How long does Genital Herpes stay dormant? I am 65 years old and was diagnosed with this 2 months ago. I haven't had pre-marital sex. (Nor my husband as he is unable) The last "partner" I had was over 35 years ago, now THIS "popped" up.

    Re: genital herpes

It can stay dormant for decades... stress and illness can make it pop up.
