Acne, No. Flu? Well.... herpes is a virus and like may viruses and other illnesses introduced to the body, it often initially presents itself as "flu-like" symptoms. However, flu is not a sure-fire indicator. If you also have swollen lymphnodes in the groin and any sort or sores, blisters, tingling, itching, etc, then you may want to start thinking herpes. As far as activities, any skin to skin contact with the person's area of infection can lead to herpes infection. Fingering if you have any sort of cut, hangnail, etc can lead to herpes on your finger, also known as "herpetic whitlow". Evidently it's very painful. And if you have the virus on your finger, say from fingering someone, and you touch your eye, mouth, genitals etc, then you risk transmission that way. Definitely stay away from anyone's active sores, be it on the genitals or anywhere else. Also read up on viral shedding, it refers to the times when there are no sores present but the person may still be shedding the virus.

Dude, How does herpes transmit? Does it have to go into the blood right? or does it live on your fingers (But i doubt because the air would dry it and kill it)?

It is transmitted through skin-to-skin contact usually. Sometimes, as we mentioned in a different thread, you can transmit it by getting the virus on your finger or some other part and then touching a different place.

Sorry to bother you, but i meant after you have skin to skin contact, do the hherpes have to enter the bloodsteam to infect or after the are exposed to air straight away, do they die eg. like howlong it takes and they dnt live on whatever theyre on. eg. fingers

No blood to blood or body fluids needed to transmit herpes. Skin to skin means that the virus is present on the skin ( even when there are no physical signs , this is how I got herpes ) and you touch or rub the skin of another person, then you can transmit or catch the virus. So us herpes folks have to always be aware that we can still transmit it even when there are no visible signs.
