tingling there a connection?

I think i might be having my first OB, i'm not sure though. i've been experiencing some burning and pain down there, but no visible lesions. i feel really tired & nauseous, too.

i was wondreing though...yesterday, at around 6 pm, my right arm started tingling. u know that feeling u get when something falls asleep? it wasn't that extreme, though, it's very slight but still noticeable and annoying. the tingling is mostly in my hand, but somteimes my whole arm starts aching. i have not had any injuries or anything that could have caused this. then it occured to me that herpes affects the nervous system. do you think herpes is causing this? iw ould be relieved to hear so, because right now i'm worried it might be something worse. i thought it would go away last night once i went to bed but i woke up and it was the same.

Re: tingling there a connection?

Lately I've been experiencing pain...not really tingling in my wrist, arm, shoulder and neck. It seems to come during my period when I usually have an outbreak....which I have to say lately has finally not been so bad....not even any visible bumps...just tingling. I've been taking 1000 mg of Valtrex and 1000 mg of Super lysine daily and it's definitely helped. However, it has been a year since the primary o/b so I'm thinking that my body is starting to not react so badly to the virus anymore. Anyway just wondered if anyone else on this board has ever experienced anything like this. This only started for me last month...could even be something else. I've been more tired than usual and feeling feverish.

Re: tingling there a connection?

I have extreme skin sensitivity in my thighs and the arch of my right foot. Not in my arms tho. Its almost like...being sunburned. No problems with my arms.

Can you tell me a little more about this? How long does your extreme skin senstivity last? And where on your thighs do you get it? The back or everywhere? Do you only get it during outbreaks...or sometimes just on its own?

Thanks for answering...the reason I ask is because I had something sort of similar and my doctor told me it wasn't herpes-related...but now I'm wondering.

Re: tingling there a connection?

I was diagnosed with my primary genital OB about a month and a half ago - horrible, painful, etc. Just had a second very minor OB - just one sore. I've been taking lots of natural supplements, and with those and the Valtrex the sore healed in 3 days. I do notice a tingling though - a sensitivity like a sunburn on my left middle to lower back and sometimes on my front on my left ribs. It is strange. Right before the second OB, I noticed it more but didn't know what it was. Anyone else feel this on their back?

Re: tingling there a connection?

I'm new to this as well, I was just confirmed on monday. i was having tingles in my leg/thigh, very interesting feeling really, I assumed it was related to my Ob.

Is it safe to assume that the reason I've been more tired lately is because I now have had an outbreak and Im more aware to it? Because i dont recall being like this a month or a year ago at that?! I guess from what i've read it's a crazy disease, It can bite ya in the butt at any time huh?

Re: tingling there a connection?

That's right, any time at all; and I get really tired before an ob--it's one way I know the virus is getting active. The tingles are another way.
