Herpes outbreaks sometimes are not painful. I had one which was a pimple but did not hurt.

Unfortunately though we cannot tell you what this was / is over the internet.

If you are concerned about something, please go to a doctor or clinic to have it checked out, because the simple answer is that any bump, blister, pimple, scratch, irritation or cut, etc etc etc on the genitals COULD be herpes - or might be something else entirely - and that is all we can tell you on that score, sadly.

how do you know your pimple was an outbreak? did it also have a white head?

Because it was in the exact same place my previous OB had been and later turned into a blister. Admittedly, I didn't get it swabbed so OK, I couldn't be 100% on that, but I'm pretty sure in my own mind. Yes, it had a white head.

But simple (non-herpetic) pimples on the genitals are pretty common.
