Can someone please advice me on how to reduce LDL and triglyceride level
Hello,
I am 33 years old male with slim built and hardly any belly fat.
Last year 23 October 2014, I went for a general health checkup and I got diagnosed with High cholesterol.The report showed following Date :23 Oct 2015
Total Cholestrol - 5.6 mmol/L
HDL 'Good' Cholesterol - .88 mmol/L
After this,I got careful with my lifestyle and eating habits.I can strictly recall that from past 6 months I have strictly been:
1) Eating Oats in breakfast every single day
2) Having at least one fruit a day
3) Consume food with very less oil
4) I walk at least 45 minutes per day.
5) I have started going for run for at least thrice a week from past 2 months.
One thing I might be doing wrong is I do eat 2-3 breads with mayonnaise almost everyday but rest all is controlled.
I got my cholesterol level checked today and to my surprise,the cholesterol has further increased to following : Date:26/11/2015
Cholesterol, Total - 258 mg/dL
Triglycerides - 190 mg/dL
HDL Cholesterol - 49.10
LDL Cholesterol,Calculated - 170.90
VLDL Cholesterol,Calculated - 38.00 mg/dL
Talking about my family history, my mother has total cholestrol of 218 but she is not overweight.My father as far as my knowledge goes did not have high cholesterol, he passed away last year due to lymphoma.
Can someone please advice on how should I go about my health.
