Alcohol and high PB

I have high blood pressure. Currently on 5mg Lisinipril. Love my wine! I'm thinking maybe too much. Perhaps that caused my high BP. I haven't had any wine in three weeks and my blood pressure IS going down. Question: how long does it take to bring it down? Longer than three weeks? A month? Longer? Will it stay down?

Anyone else have this issue?

While alcohol can raise BP, the meds should counteract that. If 3 weeks off wine and taking meds the whole time haven't gotten your BP down to normal, it wasn't the wine causing the issue. I would check in with your doctor's office to find out how long it should take at that dosage. 5mg is very low so you may just need a higher dosage.
