BP phobia

I have gotten myself into a hamster wheel of fear of high BP readings. I always have had white coat hypertension. Started years ago with one high reading. Always good at home, though. Was doing pretty good until a high reading, 169/99 at appointment. Freaked me out. Never been that high. Was better at home, but not my normal 115-130/ 70-80. Now I'm so stressed and afraid of next reading. Any help appreciated before my next appointment.

Klonipin???? Seriously, a good psychologist who works with anxiety can help a great deal. I can now drive home to New Orleans and drive 3 bridges with no anxiety! (Now, not driving over the MS River yet but we're working on it!)

Thank you so much for replying It's hard to get anyone to prescribe that. They just want to give you antidepressants. I will speak to doctor at my appointment.

Sorry you have to get a referral. He shouldn't have a problem doing that though, if he does, find another doc. I would.
