    Should I be concerned?

I'm a 30 year old male and lately I've noticed that my blood pressure seems to be high. However I can be the type that worries for no reason so I wanted ask the board members here. Is 155/91 or 148/98 (two differant readings I got this week) anything to be concerned about?

If you get readings like that week after week, yes you should be concerned. That is high blood pressure. If you don't have a home monitor, buy one and check it with that.

I tend to agree with rick in that even though it's "only" anxiety that may be causing the high numbers, if it does occur week in, week out, it's definitely something to address. What were your previous readings, taken either in the doctor's office or outside? Also, why the sudden interest in your BP?

    jspears,

Are those two readings the ONLY ones you got that week or just the two highest?
